For Nassim, it was important to join a company with a significant positive impact. In 2020, he joined the Energiency team, which combines technology and energy savings, as a Full-Stack Developer. He develops both the back-end and front-end of the software platform.
💡 A Full-Stack developer's missions includes programming a website or an application in a very versatile way since he masters the "front-end" aspects, i.e. what the user sees; and "back-end", the submerged part of the iceberg that allows the user to perform actions on the website or application.
In 2022, Karim Benzema won the Golden Ball and Nassim, an amateur footballer, became a Cloud Engineer with the Energiency team. A career move that was particularly important to the defensive midfielder, who is eager to learn new technologies.
In practical terms, what is a Cloud Engineer?
The missions of a Cloud Engineer revolve around three main axes: maintenance, monitoring and evolution of infrastructures and technologies.
- Maintenance is about fixing bugs and updating tools.
- Monitoring consists of proactively finding errors to ensure a smooth use of our solution.
- Evolution consists of looking for the best infrastructure to optimally meet the needs of our customers.
Focus on the Cloud mission of the moment
At the moment, one of Nassim's projects concerns Cloud Providers.
Benchmark phase, POC (proof of concept), tests and validations; Nassim compares the performance and reliability of various European Cloud providers.
" Using a European data hosting company is a real challenge for companies like ours. The collection and use of data are thus in line with the regulations in force in Europe, and therefore a guarantee of security for our customers who have more confidence in the "made in France" or the "made in Europe"", explains Nassim.
A project that also allows Nassim to implement good practices such as IaC - Infrastructure as code - to detail the procedure, to add comments, to explain each parameter; but also to discover new technologies and to train himself constantly.
