For the largest SKF site in France, Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, energy performance is a key issue. In 2018, the teams decided to deploy a new project to find additional energy gains. They first met Energiency during an "Industry of the Future" challenge. In less than a year, the results were clear: 6% energy savings for the ball bearing leader.
With approximately 30% of the plant's energy consumption, i.e. 1M€/year, the Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire site's workshop is one of the most energy-intensive SEUs. A dedicated SKF team had been working since 2006 to optimize the workshop's energy consumption. Blocked in its progress, SKF chose Energiency as its energy performance partner. Energiency's data science study enabled the company to identify new ways of making rapid gains.
